Don’t know what to get that crazy horse lover friend or relative for Christmas? Well, no worries- I got you covered! I comprised a list of exceptional gifts for any horse lover, young or old.

If you are anything like me, the list of people to buy for each year goes up and so does the cost of things. When you have a loved one that loves horses, well, there are a lot of expensive gifts out there. No fear though, because these are all budget-friendly.

Christmas is a time to do for others and remember our Lord and Savior. It always feels good to give a beautiful, thoughtful gift. I have put a lot of thought into this because I really hate cheap gifts that are cheesy and/or junk. So it’s my pleasure to share some ideas with you!

Coffee Mug

Coffee is one of my favorite things and I know I’m not alone in this. There is nothing better than a cup of hot coffee in the morning. I think any horse lover would enjoy a mug for Christmas. In addition, you could always buy a special bag of coffee to go with it.

Books

The possibilities are nearly endless with this idea and since there are so many books for horse lovers, you may narrow it down by the type of discipline the person you are buying for does. Or you can pick from these bestsellers.

Art Prints

You can find some beautiful artwork on Etsy. I found a great print that was affordable that I bought for my husband because it looked just like his mare, Daisy. It is always an extra special treat if you find a gift that will remind them of their own horse. I’ve added a link to that Etsy shop. Magazine Subscription

Here is a shortlist of some magazine subscriptions that make a thoughtful and long-lasting gift. You can print off the subscription page and put it on a card for them. Then they can enjoy that gift throughout the coming year. I had a friend do this for me and I truly enjoyed getting that magazine in the mail. Eqqus Magazine comes every quarter, so it is four issues, but they pack it with a lot of information from veterinary advances, equine behavior, and horse health.

Horse and Rider Magazine also comes out quarterly, but has wonderful articles for western riding, trail riding destinations, and horse-care tips.

Western Horseman Magazine – this magazine comes out monthly and has an array of information for horsemen from horse care, to product reviews, to places to ride.

I received one as a gift and replaced my old pommel bag, that was plain black that always looked dirty. Also, they had a 5-star review on their website. Super cute and comes in tons of different colors!

This makes a great little jewelry or catch all box. Perfect gift for any age, even kids.
