Welcome to The Narrow Trail

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:14
I am so glad you’re here! This blog is about sharing anything and everything horse related along with Biblical truth, but much more than that. It’s about learning, inspiring, and growing in our relationship with God and our horses.
How do we do that?
And the answer is by spending time with them and learning more about them. We can’t know God’s character without spending time in His Word (The Bible). Likewise, we can’t grow in our relationship with our horses, except by time spent with them or learning more about them. This isn’t just a blog for horse owners though, all horse lovers are welcome! I promise you won’t walk away empty handed.
Let me introduce myself! Hi, my name is Rachel.
I am a child of the Most High God, wife, mother, and lover of horses. I created this space to meld two of my passions together. You can expect just about everything horse related with faith-based truth mixed in.
I live in Northwest Arkansas with my husband and twin boys, Liam and Noah. I grew up riding horses, and it has always been my passion and where I found my solace. Fast forward and life happened. I had a lot of setbacks and rough times, but then I met my Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, my life is full, and I am blessed beyond measure with a loving husband and the sweetest boys.
Life isn’t easy, but like the passage says, “difficult is the way which leads to life,” I know this all too well with the death of my infant daughter in September 2022, but I realized that true joy and peace comes from God and not who or what I have in life. I want others to experience that in their own life.
I spend most of my days playing with my boys, cooking, and cleaning. In my spare time I play with my horses whether it be riding, liberty, or tricks. I also read all the time, lots of horse books and my Bible. I look forward to sharing with you!
