Welcome to The Narrow Trail
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:14
I am so glad you’re here! The Narrow Trail’s mission is to inspire and help you in your journey with horses and serve our community through the love of animals. With an emphasis on relationship, connection, and liberty!
Let me introduce myself! Hi, my name is Rachel.
I am a wife, mother, and life long horse lover and owner. I live in Northwest Arkansas with my husband and twin boys, Liam and Noah. I grew up riding horses, and it has always been my passion and where I found my solace.
I started The Narrow Trail in 2021 when my kids were still just babies. Back when they napped! Looking back, I think I needed an outlet and the Narrow Trail helped. With not having much time to spend with my horses, I could at least write about them.
A lot has happened since then. We welcomed a baby girl, Anna, into our family in 2022, but because of heart defects, she died shortly after. The Narrow Trail took a back burner, and I ended up starting a non-profit in her name called Anna Roan Ministries, and we pay for riding lessons for those who cannot afford them. (Check it out here if you have time.) That has been a huge blessing. But in the process of healing, I’ve kept The Narrow Trail and I envision it continuing to evolve. I’ve added lessons and family farm days. I’m looking forward to serving our community through our farm and horses.
Thank you for being here!
RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:
- My mom is a hairdresser, and I have literally never been to someone else’s salon or paid for a haircut. Thanks mom!
- I owned a horse named Butthead. May he rest in peace- he was my heart horse!
- I’ve been to England, France, and Ireland. One trip was visiting family, and the other was a mission trip. Other than that, I’ve hardly traveled anywhere! Owning a farm keeps you home!
