Whether your horse passed suddenly or you had years with them, it’s never easy to lose such a beloved animal. They become like family and we’d do just about anything for them. Well, we recently lost one of our horses suddenly, Daisy Mae. Our family was shocked and devastated.
Daisy was actually my husband’s first horse. We rode her on so many trails and overnight camps. She was amazing. She was the first horse my kids got to ride. So many memories! Therefore, I wanted to do something special for my husband to remember her by. I found a lot of great ideas and I wanted to share some of those ideas with you.

This would look nice in a garden or maybe out near the barn. I personally would put this where I’d walk by it and see it every day.

I love the simplicity of this gift because you could hang it just about anywhere. It is also very inexpensive. It’s such a sweet and simple gift for any horse owner, but a great way to honor and remember a horse that has passed.

This caught my eye instantly. I think it is so beautiful and sounds like she takes great care of each purchase. The flowers make it more suitable to gift to a female, but you really can’t beat the personalization and beauty of this gift.

This item is so special because you actually send in a lock of your horse’s hair. She will use it to make a beautifully braided bracelet. But you don’t have to have your own hair, you can choose a color and have a name tag added that is still special. This is a beautiful gift if to carry a lock of your beloved horse with you. I thought these were great. You could put them on your laptop or a cup. I actually got a nice box for my husband to put some pictures and momentos in and I will put this sticker on the top. I think this makes a really thoughtful gift that you could even mail to a friend easily yourself with a condolence card.

If you have a lot of treasured photos, you may want to pick up a nice photo album to keep them in. This one is made custom made with their name. I think it’s nice when you want to reminisce. Those memories are all in one place.
