It’s a GIRL!!! If you know me at all, then you It’s a GIRL!!!

If you know me at all, then you know how much I’ve always wanted a daughter, but sometimes life throws you a curveball. Our baby girl’s future is very much uncertain right now. During her 20 week ultrasound, we discovered she has something wrong with her heart and her brain. We aren't certain what exactly is wrong with the heart, but what they could tell is that it’s enlarged and has a hole in it. Part of her brain is also underdeveloped, the part that controls motor function. We had an amniocentesis done and we are waiting those results. It’s most likely a chromosome disorder I've been told. We don’t really know anything at this point, so I can’t really answer any questions.
I do understand there’s a chance she may not make it to term. or she may born with some special needs or urgent care. I’m doing my best to focus on my blessings and give my fears to God. There is absolutely nothing else I can do.

I had this picture planned in my mind before I found out, but I almost let this steal my joy. Then I decided that she deserves to be celebrated, no matter what.
When we know more we will share an update, but at this point we just ask for prayers for our baby girl. God will be glorified, no matter the outcome. I share this because I know a lot of you care for us and would like to be praying, but I also want to share that if it wasn't for my faith, I wouldn't be able to face such challenges. If you are in a situation that feels overwhelming and it's too much to carry, then please put your trust in God.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.

Peace I leave you, My peace I give to you; not as Peace I leave you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

The peace that comes from God is nothing like you can find or be given here on Earth. It doesn't fade, wear, or need to be put on. It's there, you can't lose it. But things are going to happen in life that you can't control and you still have to choose to give fears and worries to God continually and not let then overwhelm your heart.

I encourage you to find a qualified equine dentist I encourage you to find a qualified equine dentist rather than have your veterinarian float your horses teeth. An equine dentist has a variety of tools and therefore can do about 40% more to help your horse.

When circumstances make you feel afraid and out of When circumstances make you feel afraid and out of control, turn your attention away from the problem and onto our mighty God. It takes faith to reject self sufficiency, but the Lord honors those who depend on Him. - C. Stanley (taken from In Touch devotional)

Also, this has been something I actually had to work on with my horse. He doesn't natural relax and lower his head. Neither does he like his face messed with much. He's not head shy by any means because he likes his face brushed, but cradling his face was something different. A new level of comfort all the time is something I strive for with him.

Life is so busy and crazy and no one is ever offering to take pictures of us together. Posing with them is out of the question. They would never hold still for that. But my boys are my world. They make me laugh all the time and their cuddles melt my heart. Life is hard but those moments make it all worth it.

I'm so excited to share with you for the month of I'm so excited to share with you for the month of May the interview I had with Angela Ferraro-Fanning from @axeandroothomestead. She has two Clydesdales that she rides, works, and are family adored. I really admire her and the way she dotes on her 2,000 pound horses. If you are interested in draft horses or learning how useful a horse can actually be on a homestead then I think you'll find it pretty interesting. We recently got new neighbors and it's pretty busy over there. Considering it used to be a retired couple, it's a big change. They are putting in a big RV business that will be an RV storage center with indoor and outdoor storage. So lots of new changes to the neighborhood and the county is even going to pave our road. I'm not super happy about it all, but what can you do? Well, other than move. Things never stay the same do they.

I got money from a few people for my birthday and I got money from a few people for my birthday and I pooled it all together, every dime, to buy this rawhide bosal hackamore. Just got to try it on him yesterday for the first time and I'm excited to work with him in it. If you know anything about these hackamores, then you'll know it doesn't fit right in this picture. I have it in a shaper right now trying to fix that. It shouldn't have those gaps. It's completely normal for it to need to be shaped when it's new. Anyway, I really like it.
